Sunshine Sketches of a Little Town


CBC Television is celebrating the 100th anniversary of the publication of Stephen Leacock's comedic classic Sunshine Sketches of a Little Town with a brand-new adaptation. Featuring an all-star cast that includes Gordon Pinsent, Caroline Rhea, Jill Hennessy and many more, this adaptation deftly weaves aspects of Leacock's own life into the fictional world his characters inhabit.

Two of the 12 sketches found in Leacock's book are the foundation for this adaptation: The Hostelry of Mr. Smith and The Marine Excursions of the Knights of Pythias. In CBC's adaptation, the elder Stephen Leacock is both the narrator of the film and a wry, ghost-like presence in it. His boyhood self and his real-life parents are the protagonists in this coming-of-age story, interacting with the wonderful fictional characters who inhabit Leacock's masterpiece.

Hell on Wheels

From the Wendigo to Tarry Alanna, and from Palermo's Norman Chapel to The Great Red Dragon, no other series project has challenged our artists to produce such creative visuals that have resonated so greatly with the series many internet-savvy Fannibals.  Through all 39 episodes, Rocket Science VFX provided the primary vfx design and supervision for the series through hundreds of shots and many man hours both on set and in the studio.

The Firm

Aftermath is a four-part 2010 series created by History Television Canadian station. It also aired in the United States on the National Geographic Channel. It was produced by Cream Productions. It consists of a series of "experiments" looking at what would happen if planetary conditions changed drastically, within our lifetime. It is a follow-up to the TV special Aftermath: Population Zero.  The 2010 series was nominated for a 2010 Gemini award for best documentary.

Todd and the Book of Pure Evil

Supposedly friendly school guidance counsellor Atticus Murphy helps them in their quest to destroy the Book, though secretly he is a member of the cabal of Satanists who run the town from behind the scenes, and has been tasked with returning the Book of Pure Evil to the leader of the cultists, who happens to be his own father.

Air India 182


A look at one of the worst plane bombings of the 20th century. In 1985, an Air India 747 flying from Montreal, Canada to Delhi was blown up in mid-flight by Khalistani extremists. All 331 passengers were killed, most were of Hindi origin.
